Star A Summer Classic meet results

Results from the Star A Summer Classic swim meet are now available on the Meets > 2008 Summer page. Several team records were broken at this meet. The reports on the Performance > 2008 Summer page have also been updated. Nice job Hurleys.

Meet info for NLSA Finals and Grand Forks meets

Meet information for the July 15 NLSA Conference ABC Finals swim meet in Fergus Falls and the July 19 Walleye swim meet in Grand Forks, ND is now available on the Meets > 2008 Summer page. Entries for these meets are due no later than 5:00 PM on July 8 (NLSA) and July 10 (GF).

Please notice the sign up information is posted for the NLSA meet hosted by Perham in DL on July 8th and the Island Park Meet on July 12 & 13th (Both deadlines for registration are June 29th).

The Island Park meet is a GREAT outdoor meet and is how summer swimming used to be. It is a great time to sit on a lawn chair in the stands by the pool and enjoy the day watching the meet. The kids really enjoy this meet, but make sure to bring plenty of sunscreen and liquids to drink! They usually have good concessions and clothing sales. The 50 Meter pool is more than double the length of our 25 Yard pool at the middle school.

Alex Lake Swim results

Results from the June 20-22 Alexandria Lake Swim are now available on the Meets > 2008 Summer page. We had several swimmers come home with high point trophy awards so be sure to check out the results. The reports on the Performance > 2008 Summer page have also been updated.

NLSA LAPS and Island Park meet information

Meet information for the July 8 NLSA LAPS (Perham) swim meet in Detroit Lakes and the July 12-13 Island Park swim meet in Fargo, ND is now available on the Meets > 2008 Summer page. Entries for both of these meets are due no later than 5:00 PM on Sunday, June 29.

Summer swim team signup information

It's time to sign up for 2008 Fergus Falls Flyers pre-season and summer swim. Please see the attached flyer for date, time and location information.

If you participated in the FFF Winter 2007/2008 season, you have already paid the USS annual fee and do not need to pay it (or the USS seasonal fee) again. You just need to pay the FFF fee of $125 per swimmer, max of $400 per family. Everyone else needs to pay the USS fee as well as the FFF fee.

The 2008 Registration Form (two pages - need to fill out both pages, only one per family) and the Health Form (one page - need to fill out one per swimmer) are on the website under "Team Registration". Only swimmers new to FFF 2008 summer need to fill out tee shirt and bag tag information.

You can print and fill the forms out ahead of time then just bring them to the FFMS Commons on Monday, 4/7, or Wednesday, 4/9, between 4:00 and 6:00pm with your payment. That way you'll have more time to shop for new suits and goggles. If you can’t print the forms ahead of time, don’t worry, we will have some there for you to fill out. OR, if you cannot attend either sign up day, please mail the completed forms and payment to: FF Flyers, PO Box 30, Fergus Falls, MN 56538.

Please check the website carefully. It's been updated with a TENTATIVE calendar that includes the meets we know about as well as practice times and other great information.
